BurgerFi is seeking an accomplished and passionate Commissary Manager for our new central commissary which will manufacture selective food products for BurgerFi’s rapidly-growing, 100+ unit restaurant chain (with an additional 20 new restaurants expected to be open within the next 12 months).

This position is directly responsible for the hands‐on leadership and operation of our new BURGERFI Commissary located in North Palm Beach, FL. While the production kitchen will commence with a select few products, the volume will grow as we both expand the products and continue to expand our overall brand. The success of this position is measured by the Manager’s effectiveness at executing production center operations, team management and development, preparation of the highest quality food, rigid adherence to health and safety standards, and the ability to effectively manage this new business division for BurgerFi. The position reports directly to BurgerFi’s Director of Culinary, Procurement, R & D.

Responsibilities:
  • Plan production operations, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products based on average inventory and usage and/or forecasts of restaurants
  • Support end-to-end supply chain process by ensuring all products are available at the appropriate quantities and approved specifications
  • Conduct weekly physical inventories; and produces weekly reports with comparison of Cost of Good’s (COG’s), payroll, sales, and other reports as required
  • Manage weekly Profit & Loss (P&L) to ensure all expense lines are within budget
  • Analyze sales trends and adjust production requirements and schedules accordingly
  • Monitor vendor invoices to ensure proper pricing structure is maintained
  • Communicate & train all aspects of company programs and standards to the production teams
  • Effectively control financials, personnel management, oversee facilities, food preparation and highest standards of quality
  • Responsible for independently assigning daily goals, tasks, and assignments to team members, ensuring completion through daily follow‐up, creating schedules and adjusting when necessary, and making appropriate employment decisions
  • Inspect food and food preparation to maintain the highest quality standards while adhering to all sanitation regulations, investigate and resolve service and food quality complaints, and monitor and maintain all quality control records including required checklists
  • Maintain adherence to all company policies and procedures, as well as maintain state health/sanitation standards (DOH, FDA, Dept. of Agriculture, HACCP, OHSA, etc.), to ensure a safe working environment for all team members while enforcing food safety guidelines and kitchen safety awareness
Requirements of the position:
  • Be a subject matter expert in food production, multi-unit logistics, production and assembly
  • Five years’ experience in a central food production facility with interstate distribution, working in a management or high-supervisory capacity
  • Outstanding communication skills allowing you to communicate flawlessly, both verbally and in writing
  • Have basic Profit & Loss skills and understanding and be able to communicate P&L results to management team members
  • Be able to effectively communicate via e-mail and through presentation to convey key plans and strategies to move the business forward
  • Remain Continually updated on key trends, technologies, and “food movements” that could impact the business
Education and/or Experience:
  • College degree or equivalent
  • A minimum of 5 years related experience managing or supervising a food production center/commissary
